Workday Training Questions and Answers

There have been a handful of questions that have come in. Please see below for answers. Keep the questions coming as you have them!

  1. What if I cannot attend the scheduled training due to scheduling conflicts?
    1. Your supervisor can submit a Training Assignment Request for Changes Form: Training Assignment Request for Changes Form
  2. What if my session titles don’t match my job responsibilities or I seem to be missing training?
    1. Workday training is based on security role(s) assigned to an individual. If an employee is confused by the session title and believes it doesn’t apply to their role, they should first consult the Workday Training Guide to review the course details.  Another option is to review the Security Role Description Guidebook to understand which training courses apply to a security role. Individuals who think they are missing training courses should reach out to their supervisor for assistance.
  1. Where can I see the training topics offered through Workday?
    1. All courses are listed in the Workday Training Guide
  1. How do I submit a ticket for a WorkDay issue?
    1. If you have WorkDay issues that come up, you should report that issue to HR (optionally, you can copy Liz on your concern Elizabeth.steinborn-gourley@mnsu.edu) and if HR can’t resolve the issue, HR will submit the ticket to the appropriate folks.

Floating Holiday & WorkDay Info

ASF Employees should be able to request leave using a Floating Holiday even if it’s not listed in your leave balance – we get one per the contract.

If you have WorkDay issues that come up, you should report that issue to HR (optionally, you can copy Liz on your concern Elizabeth.steinborn-gourley@mnsu.edu) and if HR can’t resolve the issue, HR will submit the ticket to the appropriate folks.
